TiptonAll this talk of Robert Redford disliking horses and being afraid of them doesn't fit with the article in National Geographic magazine some years ago when he and a group of others rode the Butch Cassidy-Sundance Kid trails and hangouts. Somehow I can't picture HIM afraid of horses. I DID read somewhere that John Wayne didn't like horses.... I didn't want to stir the pot but I don't think it is true about Robert Redford either. I have an aquaintance that works at his stables and exercises his horses. She has never mentioned anything about him being afraid of horses but I doubt that he would have so many if he was. Also my father was an extra in one of John Wayne's movies (long before I was born) and John Wayne was terrified of horses. When they would manage to get him on one it would have to be almost pony size or he wouldn't even attempt it. Most of his horse scenes when you actually see him sitting on a horse it was just his stunt double.
