Re: [RC] English Saddle for Tennessee Walking Horse? - Milinda Ellis

Ruth,

I ride my Walkers (and everything else, just about)
with an english saddle. In my personal experience, a
dressage saddle has worked better than an A/P. I DO
have a dressage tendancy A/P that I foxhunt in though
and that works well so I can jump (although I try not
to do that!). Honestly, I think it's the position of
the flap in relation to the scapula that seems to make
the difference with my own horses...

Email me privately if you want.

Dear Ridecampers,

Just acquired a TWH gelding and in need of
assistance. I have ridden in English saddles for
several years and would like to continue, however,
gaited horses seem to have "special" requirements -
meaning saddles that won't intefere with/impede
their gaits - and I am thinking my english saddles
might not fill the bill. Any comments - positive or
negative, online or off - are appreciated. Ruth
