[RC] peeing in trailer - Alice Yovich

My mare has gotten in the bad habit of peeing in the trailer. I usually let her stand awhile at the trailer after riding to let her load up. If I see another horse peeing, I will whistle to her and she seems to be getting the idea, but it's hard to know for sure. I have yet to get her to pee just by my whistling. Last night, I loaded her up and she peed before we left the parking lot. I HATE that. When I camp, I frequently sleep in my trailer. I scoop out the poop, lay down a tarp or a rug (or both) and set up my cot in my trailer. But man, the thought of riding in it after she's peed is not pleasant.

Hmmmm...depends on how you train them. If you start them by consistently
giving them the opportunity to pee off the trailer, there won't BE a "pee
spot" in the trailer.
