hi bob, nobody really addressed your question on gelding and how it
might affect neck growth.   i think that it really doesnt have much
effect.  for the most part, i think the size and shape of the neck on a
horse has more to do with the breed and genetics than anything else.  i
have gelded colts as young as six months and on up to two year olds.  i
dont really think the age that they were gelded affected how "thick"
their necks grew as adult horses.      ed
