[RC] Dectromax or Doramectin for parasites....Vets??? - Maryanne Stroud Gabbani

While doing research on this problem on my youngster, I've had a lot of people suggest that it could be a hebromena, or a reaction to worms carried in fly larvae. The local solution to this is an injection of 7 ml Dextromax for an adult Arab horse. Only problem is that when I look up Dextromax, I find that it's for cattle and swine. No word on equids at all, so I'm a bit reluctant. I know people who have been using it without problems for years but I'd feel better if I had more information.

Any of you vets hear about using this medication in horses?
