[RC] filly with stifle problem - A. Perez

Arggg! Just found someone interested in leasing my 2 yo
filly, and she turns up lame. Vet diagnosed a stifle problem,
probably hyper extended it. Says its the middle tendion
(ligament?). Put her on bute for 5 days. yesterday (end of
treatment) I trailered her to her new 'home' for a trial period.
She spent the night in the stall, then was turned out (with my
gelding for company: he is staying with her for awhile).
Apparently she was OK for awhile, then after a little cantering
around is now favoring that leg again.

The gal who is keeping her said, when she went out to check on
them, Lexi pivoted on her haunches and her leg made a horrible
crunch, after which see seemed less lame. Could it have been a
displaced patella popping back into place? Any other guesses?
I have not seen her move since I dropped her off so I can't give
details as to exactly how 'off' she is.

Thanks
