Re: [RC] height of horses-GOLIATH - heidi

for those of you who may be interested,  goliath, the world's tallest
living horse, will be on exhibition at the sunbelt agriculture expo in
moultrie, georgia, october 19-21. he is a 12 year old percheron gelding
and is 19.1 hands.(thats 6 feet 5 inches). goliath is the wheel horse of
a six horse hitch called texas thunder, a team of black percherons.
     if you have never attended the sunbelt ag expo, it is quite a show.
too much there to describe!   there will be horse demonstrations
daily.

Texas Thunder was up here in our own small town on parade last year.  This
is a really beautiful hitch, and the horses are lovely.  There is
something special about the big drafties, for sure...
