I don't know a THING about borium or studs as Tucson doesn't
have any conditions that require either of those things.  Heck
they aren't used even by most of the hunter/jumper crowd.  So
the point is that I don't know if slick rock requires these
or not, or when they are not a good idea.  In the winter there
is sometimes snow and ice in Sedona but only for short periods.
And don't forget the gravel over pavement/hard ground issue.
