[RC] Equalizer pad? - sherman

Does anyone use the "equalizer" pad Linda Tellington-Jones was selling at the Tevis symposium? It feels and looks like a dense rubbery foam, no cloth cover on it, but I was told it's made of PVC and would not hold in heat. Any opinions?
