I am so paranoid that I also do a walk around check if I have been in a restaurant/rest stop.  I once stopped to pump gas and use the restroom. When I came out I remember seeing a guy walking toward me smirking and got a wierd feeling, that I ignored.  I got a few miles down the road and was flagged down by a motorist to tell me my tack room door was blowing open.  There was stuff missing and to this day I don't know if it fell out (probably not as this motorist followed me for awhile) or if it was stolen.  Could just have easily been my hitch that was fouled.
