Re: [RC] Gullets in Torsion Saddles - Ericka Nelson

hi,
the trekker model has a bit of a more knee roll than the endurance model. i
was told it is built more for ups and downs like we have here in the sierra
nevada mountains.
and, the endurance model has openings along the spine of the saddle to add
more or different padding. BUT, you can order the trekker special order
with the openings... that is how my trekker is built. I LOVE MY TORSION
TREKKER.
i just put on western fenders...fabricated by a local saddleman, not the
torsion model. i'll try them in the early am, i can hardly wait.!!
jeannene, at trosion www.gotreeless.com can help you with any questions
about saddle pads. and , if you go to their web site, you can see all types
of saddle pads on the picture pages.

Subject: [RC] Gullets in Torsion Saddles

In addition to investigating Barefoot saddles, I'm also investigating
Torsion. I have a question about the difference between the different
Torsion models. It seems the Endurance model is designed with padding to
provide for a type of gullet for spinal clearance - is this correct?

If so, does this eliminate the need for pads like the Skito pad? Could you
instead use a full wool pad instead of a pad with inserts?

Also wondering what the difference between the Endurance and the Trekker
models are.

Thanks!

(FYI, I am demoing both a Torsion and a Barefoot saddle, but won't get
either for a while)

Karen
