Hey Sue,

I am so proud of you! You finished great with a gaited horse, & I'm pullin
for the gaited horses.

You give me encouragement (in my smaller world of CTR),

That I can do great on my new found horse breed of a gaited horse!

You go girl (& Raven) Yee HAAA!!! :-)


What breed is your gaited horse? Raven's an awesome Kentucky Mtn Horse. Really kicks butt on downhills! Uphills, too for that matter. If I got off to run with him I'd only slow him down!
When we started endurance riding with him in 2000 there were a lot of doubters that a gaited horse could be successful in the sport. (Even though Julie Suhr did 2 of her Tevis's on Peruvians!) We were even told that they were not suited for distance. Raven has such a natural, unanimated gait he can literally go all day & night! I call him my "energizer bunny", he keeps going & going & going......
We've had many supporters & believers from the beginning, too. Arabs will always dominate the sport, but "off breeds" will keep coming in & challenging! Gaited ROCKS! So do mustangs & mules!
