RE: [RC] [RC] Hey, Howard... - Howard BramhallAlas, nothing here to report, as far as rides, or, in my case, attempts at rides go. I haven't completed one 50 yet this year. In fact, that's my goal this year. To complete one 50 miler. I have till November 30th to meet my personal goal this year. haha.I suck as a rider. For lots of reasons. My completion rate sucks. I will pull my horse at the drop of a hat. But, since I haven't ridden since last spring, I have nothing to write about. Maybe, with that long of a break, my luck will change. To tell you the truth, my completion record doesn't mean as much to me as it seems to other riders. And, when you don't ride, you don't get pulled. haha, jk. But, seriously, the only thing that matters, in all of this, is the horse. America is doing fine. I haven't ridden him in so long, he's gotten fat. He dominates (or, dominates, my herd of six, and, I know the next time I do ride him, I'm in for an adventure which may end my life. I might even write about that training ride, if I survive. Actually, I wouldn't mind interviewing Becky and Roxanne and writing about their adventure, still in progress. If I was a chick I would have joined them and grunged for them if they would allow such a thing. As a guy, Roxanne fired me during my first attempt at crewing for her a long, long time ago. She gave me a D minus, not sure if it was beer related or not, as a crew person (too much time to socialize crewing for one rider) years ago. His bow is no longer. Vet says it's done, as far as it ever becoming done (that's vetspeak for "it ain't ever gonna ever look like it used to.") Very slight difference between the two legs. Takes a Vet, or, amateur, like me, who's been looking at it for over a year now, to spot it. This horse, he may kill me. And, quite frankly, it's the only way I want to go. Like Dance Line, America is to die for (metaphor intended). Thanks for asking. I know the few fans I do have are "closet" types, so, you have overwhelmed me with your bravery here. lol. cya, Howard (delusional but, still riding)
