Fw: [RC] Trail money - Dot WigginsNot many years ago there was a concerted effort to get a bill through the Idaho legislature for a "horse trailer sticker" like the snowmobliers and park and ski folks have. Proceeds to go to trails and trail head parking etc. Something like $10.00 a year. Had trouble getting the info out that only those trailers using those areas for recreational purposes needed to have stickers. Didn't apply on the road or at shows, rodeo, ranchers on their permit areas. Finally got the Cattlemen's Assn and Farm Bureau folks to not oppose it. Back Country Horsemen were big supporters. Tried several years to get it thru, never made it. Don't know why. I'm talking big bucks. And a huge population of ATV riders...we endurance riders are politcally insignificant. CCYou're likely all too right.
