Yep, that's how capitalism works. If everyone quit buying trucks tomorrow, 
they'd quit making trucks. The difference is, society wouldn't lose the 
ability to make trucks in the future. We wouldn't lose the chance to have 4 
wheel drive because the gene pool got too small. Until the genetic sciences 
make more advances, that isn't the case with large mammals like horses, 
although I guess that day is coming.
As long as the culls from other markets suit distance riding needs 
everythings fine and dandy.
(And Jody, people who make their own horses like you do aren't "cheap" as we 
well know! It's just like a loooong payment plan.)
