[RC] Foot protection after lost shoes???? - Laurie Durgin

I had called the farrier, but befroe he has gotten back to me , Honey had lost a shoe and the other I had to take off as it was close to being lost. She had lost the last set and taken some wall, so I'd wondered alound to farrier if these would hold, and she is only doing round work right now..
Sure enough they are gone.I only have one intact easyboot and one without a strap.
She isn't stalled and as hot and humid as it is, ,she just moseys around eating the grass and the hay pile. We do have some gravel around the barn she has to walk across.
Don't know when the farrier will get back to me, could be a day or two or a week.(When you only do 2 fronts you aren't exactly high priority barn).
Should I duct tape and wrap them, daily? Or does that really do any good or work?
Since I didn't catch the other , she lost chujnks out of lower sides, may face the same thing this time.
If I go across town and get another easy boot, is it safe to leave them on for a week and if so how do you prepare the foot? or do you have to take them off daily in a situation like this?
Now if I had two boa boots that would be nice and easy!!(now if they were nly cheap!)
And who has easy boot straps?
