==========================================

I can see Angie's point about the Participation Award, but I
really love the way Gold Country is run. They had the top ten
awards early and started the barbeque early. I didn't come in until 5:00 so I
missed the top ten presentation but not the food
which was excellent (as usual). Not everyone can stay late or
overnight which I agree is unfortunate. One issue is traffic.
I went to a ride in the bay area, took 3 hours to get there, and
over 5 hours to get home because of traffic. People leaving
Gold Country to return to the bay area on Sunday will likely run
into weekend traffic. The ride in the bay area didn't have the
barbeque started until many hours after the 25s come in so many
people left without attending the barbeque and having a chance
to socialize. So I think regional differences and needs have
to be considered. But Gold Country was wonderful, well run and
they ordered the perfect weather.
