[RC] falling safley: emergency dismounts - A. Perez

 I rode at several different stables as a kid, but all taght
some version of the 'emergency dismount': on command you had to
wrap your arms around the horses neck or grab mane and dismount
(usually at a trot).  Keeping your grip on the horses neck/mane
means you usaully land feet-first: better than head-first.  Do
this often enough and it becomes instinct.
