The problem is...they don't all leave at the same time. We have observed them and several stay there, while others go hunt. We also know that since we can constantly hear them come and go and hear the others in the spot too. So we would love to put up a bat house (we have bought some) but can't think of how to get them all out of there at ONCE. Any suggestions?? I heard you can play loud rock music and they will flee. We have tried banging on the wall near them but that just makes them squeek louder. ---Karla

Hi Karla: You can build a substitute Bat house for them. They are small and do not take up a lot of space. Their are certain rules for the placement of the New structure, that should be on the web. Then you can normally find the entrance and exist points and check when the Bat's leave to eat the West Nile mosquito's and other critters and just block the entrances and exists. There may be a local person who is licensed in the handling and helping bat's that may assist you.
In California at least.

Off topic of endurance/Need help:
I have bats living between my house and fireplace outside. I do love bats and do not want to hurt them or kill them. They are GOOD for keeping bug population down. But they are LOUD and I can hear them constantly in my living room, especially at night. Any ideas on having them move to another locale?? -----Karla Watson/Portland,Oregon
