[RC] Ground Control Shoes - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I was wondering when Maggie was going to pipe up. She gave me
great advice when I was trying them. They worked great on my
gelding and ok on my mare. My mare doesn't land perfectly
flat so the wear was uneven. However, I tried them again
recently with a different (better) farrier and they wore off
center on the toe but then seemed to stop wearing after a while., kinda like
your own sneakers. Using washers under the nail head helps keep the shoe
stabilized. (Suggestion from Maggie-thank you)
Ok I am now trying easy walkers, and the "jury is still out" on those.

I also thought-what does the toe have anything to do with
ground control, sounds like the farrier is confusing "natural trim" with
plastic shoes. Of course a natural trim shouldn't
cause problems either.
P.S. Can someone tell me why my (and others) post go in a long string across
the screen.  Thanks
