[RC] cooling off dark horses - martha merriam

We clip big horses with dark coats that stay long in the summer.  This seems
to help alot.  Also, sponging becomes really important with these horses.
One thing I have been trying to figure out is if they should be encouraged
to take deep long breaths or rapid shallow breaths.  It seems like the
latter may actually cool the core better if the respiration does not become 
inverted.
