[RC] Newbie - erika p moore

Although I have been trail riding all my life and have gone to
Competitive Trail Rides to help out on the side lines, I just bought my
first horse all on my own. I am very excited to see what we can do
together. It has always been a dream of mine to CTR or Endurance ride.
However, I find myself stumped at what saddle I should get. I was
seriously looking at the Ortho-Flex Endurance Cutback (since my horse is
very large and has huge strides I figured the more freedom the saddle
allowed him the better) but I was also looking at the Wintec Pro
Endurance and have heard great things about it.
My boy, a 17 hand TB/Clyde, doesnt sound like the typical Long Distance
trail horse, but I have never seen a horse so happy to do what we do. He
is completely different when we are outside. I want to keep him happy on
long distance rides (as well as keep the feeling in my rear). So if any
have had experience with big horses and what saddles worked best for
them, I would dearly appreciate the advice -
Thanks
ERIKA

I can tell you after sleeping in a tent, then in my truck, then in the back
of a trailer, then in a gneck trailer w/no LQ, and now in the new-to-me LQ
one, you don't sleep any better the night before in nicer digs - you're
just more comfortable while you're lying there obsessing :)
