[RC] Shock Wave Therapy for rider - Alison Dunn

Has anyone had shock wave therapy done to themselves?  Apparently my diagnosis is not frozen shoulder, but 'supraspinatus tendonopathy' - inflammation of the tendon coming out of the top of the  shoulder.  I'm losing motion in my shoulder because I can't use it very well because of this. I heard of shock wave therapy as a possible treatment for this in people.
(Sorry to keep posting here - but I'd desperate - at a stretch, it's endurance related because I'm trying to get back to riding again as soon as possible!)
