Someone gave me a good hint, and it really worked in a low 40's at night. Put one of those 'ground mats'(those foam backpacker type mats about 5-10$) over your air mattress, under your sleeping bag.It made a huge difference.

Just keep in mind, that if it's a cold night, the air mattress will be very
cold, and it will "steal" your body heat.  Raven
