Re: [RC] Chattahoochee National Forest - John and Rose Muffett

Dawn - Have you heard of  The new CARA bill, called the Get Out (GO) Act (HR 4100), is virtually identical to the old CARA bill?   This not only effects public land but private land use as well.  Rose in Oregon

Just so that folks don't panic...yes, it's true that all Forests will eventually revise their existing management plan - but this doesn't mean that a similar trail policy will be adopted on other forests as was adopted on the Chat-O. Forest Plans are revised approximately every 10 years. Different forests are up for revision at different times (our current Plan in Texas came out in 1996, so the revision process will start before long). This revision period is the time to get involved and make your needs/wants/desires known.
