[RC] trailering with confidence - Ed Kilpatrick

some horses are just a lot more claustrophobic than others, much like people.  experience is the best teacher here.  and yes, let her spend some time in the trailer so that she knows it can be a safe, happy, place to be.   and open those drop down windows to get plenty of ventilation.  it should have the grid panel, so that she wont stick her head out.  also,  that stud panel is removable, by taking out two pins.  unless you really need it, i would take it out, because in this trailer, that stud panel does block the air circulation a lot.  you can always put in back in if you need to.
as for wondering if your blm mustang has the metabolic condition/ability to do endurance, well, probably so.  i would say that the more difficult task would be to find a mustang that doesnt.  however, you will need to body clip the horse so that she can cool down easily.  mustangs have a deceptively thick hair coat.  even when they look slick and shiny in the spring and summer, that hair is really thick. it just doesnt look like it.   ed
