[RC] Posting - Mashallaha
Boy, if Arabian shows make you cringe, just go look at the crippled
bloodhounds in a stock seat western pleasure class, dragging along
with NO impulsion and their noses to their knees.....should be
renamed the western no-pleasure-for-horse-or-rider class.
Grotesque!

-----------------------------------------------------

The Arabian version isn't much better. It involves chins touching
their chests (literally in some cases -- it's pretty scary) and
pretty much the same shuffling, broken gaits that the stock
horse people invented.

On the other hand, watching a GOOD English Pleasure or Western
Pleasure horse is a beautiful thing. Saddly, they are few and
far between at the "Class A" or higher shows. This is not to say
they don't exist -- per that post someone else had about saddle
seat horses and being trained right -- it's just that the quick
train masters outnumber the real trainers who do it right.
