[RC] RC: Spring-tie vs Hi-tie systems - Tracy Cann

Last week at Renegade my horse ran through his electric pen in the middle of the night (after 165 miles, dork) and I was lucky to get him back before he killed himself or ran into Mexico.  As a result I will never leave him untied at night again.  Anyway, I would like to purchase one of the tying systems out there.  A friend has the Spring-tie system and likes it but wishes it wasn't so heavy to lift and so noisy at night.  The Hi-tie looks lighter and the company says it's quiet but it doesn't look as sturdy.  I would greatly appreciate all opinions on this.  I am also considering getting a metal pen but would still like the option of a tie system.  Another girl at the ride had her horse get loose out of it's metal pen thought I'm not sure how that happened.  Anyway, I would love any insight to which tie system is better.

Thanks,

Tracy
