[RC] Walking on tarps..... - Jonni Jewell

I have seen more horses have set backs in training and trust of their
handler by attempting to walk over a tarp. Usual scenario is...horse is
spooky, not wanting to step on the scary blue tarp. Handler works and works,
until horse finally gets one foot on tarp. But then the tarp makes a crinkle
noise, horse backs up, but does not pick up its foot OFF the tarp. Tarp gets
caught on foot, or worst, snagged on the horse shoe, and tarp then chases
after the backing horse, who is now moving even quicker, as it just KNEW the
tarp was evil, and now is convinced of it, as it is trying to attack them.
PLEASE, use some caution asking horses to walk over tarps.

Jonni
