RE: [RC] Milk of Magnesia for Colic - A. Perez

My vet also told me to give my gelding Cy when he had a mild
gas colic. She said to give about half a small bottle. I just
held his head up, shoved the neck of the opened bottle in his
mouth, and poured. I didn't end up wearing too much of it, and
gave my cooworkers quite a laugh when I explained what the white
stuff on my shirt was later that day.

Riding alone is when you teach a horse all the "tools" and "cues" he needs
to handle the trail, to hold a speed, deal with hills, etc. It's also where
you develop the "bond" that causes him to "defer" to you before losing his
cool.
