[RC] grazing muzzle for fat horse - kc85124

I'm worried about my older endurance horse gaining too much weight this spring
since
I'm wanting to get some miles on the two younger ones and don't have time to
ride him plus he is having some lameness issues and acting like it is time to
be retired. I'm worried about him getting too fat and risking founder. Even
our small pens have too much grass in the spring and would rather him be moving
around in larger area anyway. Any suggestions as to how to keep him from
getting too fat? Was wondering if anyone had used a grazing muzzle with any
success and how long did you leave it on every day? Do retired endurance
horses founder easier than horses that have been pasture potatoes? Thanks and
happy trails, Kathy Crothers CT
