Re: [RC] [RC] Presidents Cup Racing - Deanna German

Ever since Jennifer J. wrote a few days back that she was dissappointed that
this is a terrible impression the world to have of "endurance", I've been
toying with how to differentiate endurance as most of us know it from what
happened at the latest President's Cup and the way the rest of the world is
going. Face it, we lost the definition of the word "endurance" horse riding
to them. Others are now defining the word for the world. He who has the most
money for a publicity effort wins.

As an alternative to naming their sport, how about....

All-Terrain, Limited Access Support (ATLAS) Endurance for the sport as we
know it in the U.S. and elsewhere.

An ATLAS is a vast collection of maps, it's a godlike figure displaying the
strength to carry the world (now displaying my ignorance of mythology) and
it carries with it the connotation of something that existed a long before
anything now.

Why then may I ask is
it called endurance racing? Why not Flat Track
Endurance or Long Distance
Flat Track Racing?
