[RC] - Stagg_Newman

Louise,

Why do you think the Midwest has been so successful at preventing
equine deaths? We all need to learn from the example.

Best and looking forward to seeing you at convention!

Stagg

Come on up north a ways and you can add to all this: freezing rain,
sleet,
ice, snow. high winds. And these things do cause horses to tie up more
than
heat, humidity, flies, etc.etc.etc. Not all at the same ride of course.
Every region has its own problems. In 34 years of riding I can only
remember
one horse dying of metabolic reasons in the Midwest--of course senility
has
probably set in.
