sigh! I just get SO tired of far too many people who just can't stand not to win whining about this kind fo thing - from kids' sports to getting into college and now this. Geez - do what you are gifted to do - same with the critetrs - and quit the beefin'. Not EVERYONE is good at EVERYTHING  they want to do. I am a singer, and do decently but will never be up there in th Top 20 for a number of reasons. Tough, huh!

Personally, I have much more admiration for the horses that get the year end High Mileage awards than I do for any particular horse that comes in first in a race.  High mileage and a bunch of top tens -- well, that's obviously an elite horse, no matter what the breed.
