[RC] another story - larry Miller

All this talk about guns and attackers reminds me YET of another story.  Again in the 70s, riding in the metro park around Cleveland.  There were  3 of us females, around a corner we blast, and there stands a guy with his pants down!!  My two friends, shrieked, whirled around, and took off the other way.  Well I wasn't going to be left alone, but I took a good look before I turned around, saw absolutely NOTHING, but then I am blind as a bat, and then galloped off to my friends.  All they could talk about was what if he had a gun?  I said, with his pants down around his feet, I doubt if he could have done much if anything!.  I figured we should have just blasted past him and also should have given him a lecture which is what an older lady did when some guy exposed himself to her!  My blacksmith told me that story, it happened when he was a park ranger.  I guess she pretty well deflated the guy!!  Being alert about your surroundings is probably the best defense we have.  My horses tell me too if there is something strange in the bushes.  So I pay attention to them.  Anything out of whack?  I am gone big time.  LOL Jeanie
