Seriously, I really don't like the Big Brotherish aspects of it, but it sure would put a crimp into the horse thieves gears. It could also keep animals out of the hands of known abusers, like those people in Oregon arrested last year - this was the 3rd time they'd done that. Or it could be used by pointy-nosed meddlers to make us miserable. Warning - cynical and off-topic - Of course it really just fits in this age where we're so busy giving up our freedoms to support the "War on Terrorism|Drugs|Bad People|Latest Government Boojum." By the time we're done, we _will_ be living in an Orwellian "utopia". I think I'll shut up before I start a political flamewar. If you feel like you really have to disagree, please do so in private e-mail - this list is volatile enough. All this information aggregation really is a form of dynamite - you can use it for good - like what Truman says, or you can use it for bad. I'd get used to it - one of the banes and blessings of all these computers is that it gets really easy to keep track of huge amounts of information and correlate it.
