twisted gut.....could that perhaps been influenced by dehydration (caused by
transport, athletic endeavor)?

Karen

Can a gut twist from having large meals and miles of trotting on a tired horse......tired muscles?    Horses have a lot of itches and want to roll after the ride so could they not twist a gut here also?
On the horses that died wouldn't it help to know what the horse ate......what, big or small meals, wet or dry, pellets and etc.?
