RE: [RC] New Riders - j marshall

I am a New Rider. I think the educational part of the
AERC does need a lot more development. I don't know if
making more rules is the answer but something is and
some experimenting and brainstorming is in order. So
we need to work together and instead of bashing offer
New Ideas and alternatives. As unwanted as change
maybe change is what will make the AERC better and yes
it will be though trial and error to find the most
beneficial changes. Now with that my Idea is to make
being part of a Newbie group voluntary and to have
certification to be a mentor not necessarily testing
to be a mentor but more about the mentors ride
history. also I think the Idea about giving mentor
rider for a race a break in entry fees or have the
newbie that wishes to ride with the mentor pay that
half of the fee for the mentor, but limiting that
mentor to one rider. I am just looking for more ways
that the newbies who WANT help can get it. I know I
would be happy to participate as a guinea pig for any
new Ideas that will better the AERC.
HAve a great day!
