Excellent test!!!! I will have to start changing from my yell, to a whistle,
and try the tack thing. I have one who would come without treats, with me
holding a saddle, just to get scratched. But it is pretty much a retired
pasture potato that would not be ON the trail to get lost! (maybe he knows
it is a safe bet that saddle won't be doing much on him!)

If horses were whistle trained, then even if the rider was unable to go
immediately to look for their horse, they could have others try.
