[RC] Questions from a Newbie. - Equssairs

Hello All!
I am new to Endurance
and will begin LDs/CTRs
this spring. What will be
the best rides for me on
the East Coast?  (I live in
WV.) Also, has anyone
located a lost horse by
the use of a Search and Rescue
group with Canines or scent  trailing Horses?
I know there are many places where a horse
could stand 20 feet away from you and
you would never be able to see it. A horse
conditioned to come to a certain Sound
at feeding time (alternating different locations for
the feed pan w/Sound)
would make  finding a lost horse a little easier.
What a great idea it was to use a whistle!
Imagine if a rider was lost and he had his whistle
perhaps a well trained horse could track and find him ?
Should there be  suggested "arrival too
early/fast" times for gates/checks
for new riders so that
they will not try to pace too fast?
It would not have to be mandatory
or a set rule to follow.
It would help the new riders' horses.
Thanks To All!
