Re: [RC] [Guest] Lost Horses - Charles

I like the triggered sound idea as well.

I think a sound emitting device would be good as well because it would allow
other searchers to hear the sound as well. If I remember the tale of Zoom
Zoom, searchers walked past where he stayed and never saw or heard him.
This way, he would be making noise and hopefully a searcher would find the
horse.

As one who's been there... I really like this triggered sound device
idea.It could also be used as a training device that could teach a horse
to
respond to the sound to return to his rider. The rider could activate a
sound when the horse runs off that he might hear and when he returns to
his
senses(mine has "out of body experiences" from time to time but is usually
very bonded to me and trainable) he might even come back to locate the
sound. Also rider could use it to be located if they were hurt or lost
themselves during the separation.OK,some smart person get going on this
idea! I'd buy one in a minute! I ride alone ALOT in an area with no cell
phone reception and don't own one anyway.pepper
