[RC] starting endurance later in life - Jonni Jewell

For anyone who is having ANY doubts about getting into endurance. You REALLY
need to read Julie Shur's book, "Ten feet tall, still". It is a MUST read
for not only endurance riders of all experience levels, but non riders I
think will enjoy it also. You know, Julie started into endurance later than
many of us did, and since then has done Tevis 22 times, has ridden horses in
many different parts of the word, and has completed around 28,000 miles. I
am always amazed to consider that she started endurance not much younger
than I am now...and to see all she has done. I look forward to my next 30
years of riding, and hope I can do just a fraction of what she has done. You
can buy the book on the Tevis page. Here is a link.
