[RC] [Guest] horse camping and pelleted feeds - Ridecamp Moderator

Ruth Hoke hurlhoke@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
We are going down south for Xmas with our horses - probably to Joshua Tree. The park says horses must be fed pelleted feeds. I have never used this feeding method and plan to go to my local feed store right after Thanksgiving so we can start gradually introducing the horses to pellets. A month should be long enough
to get them onto it, right? Does anyone have any hints, suggestions, or warnings for us? Does any of you in that general region have facilities to board two well-mannered horses for a couple of days so we can visit relatives?
