[RC] re: [RC] impatient horse trailering troubles - Michelle Fink

Hi Jen -

One of my horses paws the trailer, despite careful driving. He just wants
outta there. I tried a cloth feed manger full of hay, he tore it down. Now
I either hang a bucket fiarly high with some soaked Equine Sr. to keep him
busy, or put some of it in one of those hanging feeder bags also hung up
high.

Since he gets only hay at home, a little snack keeps him totally distracted.
I also leave him in the trailer for a while after we get home, so he doesn't
equate me stopping with him getting right out. It has helped some, he is
being much quieter now. Only time will tell if his quiet behavior becomes a
habit. :-)

Happy Trails,
Michelle
