And to add to this--it isn't what it says on your ride record that earns or loses you respect--it is how you go about it when your horse has a problem. I know people who likely have a fair number of pulls--or not--but who come into a check and come over and say, "Hey, doc, he isn't quite right, and I can't put my finger on it, but I just don't think I'm gonna go back out," and I also know people who one just about has to handcuff to keep them from trying to sneak a grade 3 horse through the check. Doesn't matter HOW many pulls either one of those has on his record--I can tell you which one I respect and which one I don't....
