[RC] How much is too fast in feed changes? - Nina Vasiliev

Hello,

I tried to post this earlier and it didn't go thru. So if both my messages get posted, I'm sorry...

I bought a 3 1/2 yo morab mare Oct 30. She was on green pasture and alfalfa at night in Oregon. I brought her home to N. California along with one bale of alfalfa. At the stable where I board, she got rye hay in the am and then her alfalfa at night. The alfalfa is gone, and so she has been on straight rye for about 10 days now.

Lots of changes for a 3 yo.

I think she has lost some weight, so we increased her rye. I would like to start her on beet pulp, LMF super supp, flax seed, biotin and oil. Should I wait another week before I add the beet pulp mix or can I start it sooner than that?

Thanks,

Nina
