Re: [RC] Horse wants to be first - Vchorsegal

Hey, what a unique problem, ha !  All kidding aside- What helps for us is to play "Leapfrog".  Ride single file at a walk and the first rider drops backs safely to the back of the pack, the second rider becomes the leader and so on.  You can vary the intervals.  At first they will be annoyed, but may settle in when they realize it's a short wait to the front. You may wish to introduce this in a safe setting, such as an arena or wide trail.  After they learn the game you can do it at a faster pace.  In our group, "Naughty" horses always have to go to the back of the pack for a while.  ( Ear pinning, ugly faces, and especially kicking !! )  Happy Trails!  - Heidi Helly
