[RC] [Guest] Wintec changeable gullet owners, please read - Ridecamp Moderator

Skyla gulpyfish@xxxxxxx
This did not post the first time, so am trying again.
First I want to say, I LOVE my saddles and think they are great. There is
just an area that needs further quality improvement. I have two Wintec's
with the changeable gullet and have found a potential problem that you need
to check on your saddle. The one saddle which I found the failure on is not
the Cair. I have used it just over a year. What I found is that at the
endpoints where the gullet bars end, there is a plastic ("flexable
points")piece that fits into a pocket which sets the gullet for the saddle.
On this saddle these plastic pieces are stapled on, both of mine were
completely broken in two. The other saddle is the Cair, it also has these
same plastic pieces, but are riveted on. This saddle is only about three
months old and is still OK. I just wanted others that are using these
saddles to PLEASE check for failure at the ends of the gullet. You need to
open up the saddle and where the gullet bars go into the pocket, either
pull it out, or just move the pocket to see if it bends back and forth. I
don't doubt the company will fix any problems.
