Re: [RC] related to hauling - Jim Holland

I have the triangular hay bags and use the screens on my slant load
trailer, compliments of Penny Sharpe. They work great. Zip down the
middle with velcro across the bottom. Soon as I unzip them, my guys
just push them aside and hang their heads out. The screens are just like
regular size "window screens", but heavier material...very tough. My hay
stays in place very nicely with the screens up. (I never drive faster
than about 30mph with "heads out the window") If you decide to buy the
triangular hay bags for slant loads, consider the ones with a mesh
bottom....the sand/dirt in the hay falls out through the mesh.

how the heck does the hay stay in those clip-in feed bags
that are only about a foot deep?

Or does anyone have any other bright ideas about how to make
sure the horses have hay in front of them during the journey -
but without most of it going up their nose/out the window?
