Re: [RC] Being Forced to Do An LD - Dabney Finch

With some horse I'm forced to be captain (at least when they're starting out), but my goal is always a partnership, a dance.  I would certainly rather spend 100 miles with a horse who is intelligent enough to "assist" me in caring for him, rather than fighting him and forcing him the whole way.  Wouldn't you?

Seeing a statement like this I have to ask, who is captain of the ship, the rider or is the rider just a passinger and the horse is captain of the ship?

If the rider is captain of the ship it won't be an issue - if not then if can be a big issue.

go fast because it's so short. For the same reason, once they start getting
comfortable (or cocky) with 50s I want them to do a slow 100 to remind them
to take care of themselves.
